THE START OF SOMETHING BIG
Retrotrøjer.dk was founded in 2023 under the name FITS CPH by former two-time FIFA World Champion August Rosenmeier, also known as "Agge".
His passion for football began in childhood, where countless hours were spent playing football in the garden and following players, clubs, and leagues through FIFA games and weekend football matches.
The interest in football quickly developed into a passion for retro football shirts and vintage football shirts from some of the most iconic clubs and seasons in football history. Shirts from clubs like Arsenal, FC Barcelona, FC Copenhagen, and Inter began to fill his collection, and the fascination with classic designs and historical seasons grew year by year.
The collection grew larger, and the office slowly began to fill with classic football shirts from leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and the Superliga. Each shirt represented a piece of football history – from legendary players to iconic seasons.
It was here that the idea for Retrotrøjer.dk was born. The dream of working with football and sharing the passion for vintage football shirts, retro shirts, and classic football shirts became a reality.
NEW TIMES IN 2026
In 2026, the company received a significant boost with the arrival of Chris Kaiser, and a series of initiatives were launched that have helped shape Retrotrøjer.dk into what you know today.
Kaiser is, among other things, the former owner of the world-renowned football store Unisport and therefore possesses extensive experience in both football jerseys and retail. In addition, he has worked for TV 2 Sport and participated in several different football podcasts, including Calcio Kammeraterne, which has given him great experience in communication and media handling.
Kaiser has played football and been interested in the game with the round ball since he was three years old, thus having been involved with football for more than 40 years.
Football has changed significantly in recent years. Elements like VAR and an increasing number of manager sackings have come to dominate more and more. Therefore, Retrotrøjer.dk is a project that Kaiser particularly values. Here, we focus on a time when many believe football was more authentic – and when football jerseys were even more beautiful.
The iconic jerseys serve as a tangible memory of a different era in the sport; a time with different stories, different heroes, and different expressions.
